Invited by American Medical Student Association on December 1, 2018, Dr. Yifeng Hu, Communication Studies Chair conducted an “interactive,” “eye-opening” and “enriching” webinar for medical students across America and Caribbean islands on the latest advances in media technology and how to use it to find solutions to public health problems. During the hour long webinar, Dr. Hu integrated various tools of communication such as polls, chats, and breakout rooms into her multi-media presentation. She stated that, “it’s no different than teaching in a classroom!” Prof. Hu received a certificate of appreciation for her “outstanding dedication and commitment” to the association.
