On October 27th, the Student Advisory Board held its second COMMTuesday! Students were given the exciting opportunity to choose what they wanted to learn! From 3:30PM to 4:00PM, they had the option of either choosing to participate in a room regarding scheduling or a room that gave tips and tricks on mediation and positivity. Each room provided the student with an advantageous experience to ask members of SAB for advice on how to tackle scheduling and how to stay positive during tough times.
In the positivity and mediation room, we focused on providing students with the beneficial practices of mediation. We also played a game of Kahoot that highlighted key tips and tricks on how to have an optimistic point of view. In the scheduling room, any inquiry a student had about scheduling was answered, just in time for TCNJ’s class registration period. Students were engaged and active in all conversations and took away valuable information to use going forward. At 4:00PM, we had a special screening of two student films that gave us a different, eye-opening perspective of the Coronavirus pandemic. Check out our post on these films and the discussion that followed here.
