Describe your internship and your role:
At Watt, I was a Development Intern. I communicated daily with Senior Producers to assist in maintaining casting campaigns, generating loglines, and finalizing cuts. I also scouted potential talent and conducted Skype interviews with them!
What is your best memory from your internship?
My best memory from my time at Watt was having my editing work on character reels used in a pitch!
What is one skill that you improved upon while at your internship?
I improved on my editing skills while shadowing my supervisor. I have a strong passion for editing, so I really enjoyed learning new techniques.
How did Communication Studies help prepare you for your internship?
Learning how to tell a story through editing was one of the most imperative creative techniques I learned in my time at TCNJ.
Do you have any advice for students looking to apply for internships?
Reach out to your teachers and look online at all job boards! Also connecting with people in LinkedIn and asking for informational interviews is so important.
