The Margaret Foti Scholarship, a full scholarship of up to $45,000 for Temple University’s Klein College of Media and Communication. A one-year Master’s of Science Degree in Communication for Development and Social Change (CDSC) specifically for students interested in public health and science communication.
The MS in CDSC is a one-year, 30-credit program emphasizing the importance of empowered communities, local voices and participatory strategies in social change processes. Students develop specific expertise in using tools like participatory interventions, communication campaigns, managing and evaluating social change projects, media and information literacy training, and media and digital platforms for social change.
This unique curriculum focuses on the use of media and communication for social change and community development. Students interested in public health and science communication can tailor their coursework around these specific interests, completing capstone projects in these areas as part of their culminating experience.
