Communication Studies and Public Health students recently presented together research on news coverage based on topics of vaccine access during the COVID-19 pandemic at the New Jersey Communication Association (NJCA).

Students include Isabella Ciccone ‘21, COM major with a specialization in Public Mass, Christopher Moreira ‘22, COM major with a specialization in Health & Wellness, and Sofia Cartagena ‘22  and Courtney Sacco ‘22 with majors in PBH

In their research, they looked at newspapers around the world and how they covered their topic in terms of governmental or societal responsibility. They then performed an analysis on the data they collected to see if there was any significance and to see if any indicators were related to their topic along with any previous research supporting their findings.
